What to Expect

Winchester Optical knows that regular eyecare is essential for continuing eye health and good vision. A visit to the optometrist at Winchester Optical includes a thorough, yet noninvasive, assessment of vision, ocular motility, refractive state, and overall eye health. Dr. Joseph Deering utilizes the most advanced eyecare technology in his office to provide the highest quality exam possible.

During a complete eye exam, Dr. Deering will check your vision, make sure that your eyes are moving and working the way they are supposed to. He will check the health of your eyes, from the front to the back. You can expect to see him use a few traditional technologies; like a phoropter to check your glasses prescription, or a slit lamp (or microscope) to look at the structures of your eyes. However, you will also experience the latest, state-of-the-art machines, designed to make testing your eyes easier and more efficient, including: digital acuity charts, an auto-keratometer, a retinal camera, and an iCare tonometer (no puffs, no drops).

Every eyecare appointment at Winchester Optical ensures the utmost care in a comfortable environment.

Schedule your next eyecare appointment today to experience the Winchester Optical difference.
