Winchester Optical has been helping people better their vision in Winchester and throughout Massachusetts since 1958.

Peg and Art Deering founded our optical shop with a single goal, to help guide people to their optimal vision. Wanting to continue providing the best possible care to all patients current and new, their son John and wife Helen, took over the family business and continued providing exceptional care, ensuring to satisfy the needs of their patients while carrying on the family business. Now the third generation Deering, Dr. Joseph Deering, holds true to their original goal today!

As a family-owned and operated business the Deering's have dedicated their lives to ensuring Winchester Optical’s patients receive expert professional eyecare in a personal, one-on-one environment. With the help of 2 generations of the Wyman family, Bob and Matt, and the rest of our wonderful staff we hope to provide everything your eye's need.

Dr. Joseph Deering, a graduate of New England College of Optometry, offers primary care services to patients of all ages. Dr. Deering is dedicated to making sure each patient discovers a clearer vision and the healthiest eyes possible.
